Did you live with fibromyalgia scream, but did not get a diagnosis from a doctor ? I dealt with chronic pain for over 12 months. I really think I 'm dealing with fibromyalgia, but why not my doctors agree? I did a lot of research and participate in a local support group . My symptoms are completely aligned with what these people are going through ; However , I also learned that it is quite common to not be officially diagnosed. Apparently , fibromyalgia is quite difficult to diagnose and some doctors believe that there really is not .
I have chronic pain from the time I often wake up at night , it is , I face every day, not only pain, but also very tired. My doctor diagnosed me with chronic pain , defined as a period of my doctor anywhere from 3-6 months of its creation. For me, my pain is the main symptom of fibromyalgia. Wikipedia defines fibromyalgia as " a medical disorder characterized by chronic widespread pain and allodynia , increased and painful response to pressure " Essentially , fibromyalgia is widespread muscle pain . My experience , feel the pain head to toe and the left to the right of your body throughout the day.
My doctor suggested I keep a journal that my pain. However, I am the only one who can really feel the pain. How do you know how I really feel ? Some people have a different tolerance for pain than others. My pain is often worse in the morning , so I do my best to get up and move. I expect lunch to update my diary because that's when I feel more relieved. My fibromyalgia symptoms even worse at night , making it difficult to get comfortable in bed and sleep.
I learned that there are many other diseases that resemble fibromyalgia, making diagnosis more difficult for doctors . It is important for physicians to decide on the most serious medical conditions that can be done by a long list of tests. Rheumatoid arthritis and lupus are common conditions like fibromyalgia. Lupus is an autoimmune disease that can be fatal, so it is easy to understand why doctors should try to reject it. I had these tests and luckily I do not have other conditions. Now I spend my time trying to find a diagnosis, which begins with a doctor who really listens .
